Chelsea 2-0 Sunderland

Jaded squad from internationals. Makalele injured, so Essien takes over his role, and does well. Del Horno and Geremi were the other notable performers in a lacklustre match. Geremi opened the scoring through two Sunderland defensive mistakes, first the defender losing the ball to him, then the keeper letting his shot in under his body. Drogba rounded it off with a header off a Duff cross. Manure were held to a draw by Man City and Arse, missing Henry and leaking goals, lost to Boro. Which leaves Charlton as our present closest competitors.
